Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has revealed his interest in bringing Tottenham’s want-away midfielder Niko Kranjcar to the Stadium of Light on loan.
The Croatian has fallen out of favour with Spurs boss Harry Redknapp, making just two Premier League starts last season.
Bruce has been highly productive in the transfer market so far this summer, adding 10 new faces to his Sunderland squad.
And the manager is eager on making another addition in 26-year-old Kranjcar and he is interested in signing on a loan deal.
He told the Daily Star: "Bringing someone in on loan remains an option and Kranjcar is a quality player who we are very much aware of."
Bruce has also been linked with out-of-favour Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy this summer, but it remains to be seen whether a move will happen.
