Italian side Roma have completed the signing of Spanish defender Jose Angel from Sporting Gijon for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old left-back, who was also a target of Barcelona and Manchester City, is on his way to Italy to join Roma in pre-season training.
A statement from Sporting Gijon read: "Roma and Sporting Gijon have completed the transfer of Jose Angel to the Italian team.
"The player has already said goodbye to his team-mates and is on his way to the airport to join his new club in pre-season training."
