Other Managers Praise on Sir Alex

Jose Mourinho: "Sir Alex is a unique manager in the history of Manchester United,"
"Sir Alex is a unique manager in the history of English football.

"And Sir Alex is a unique manager in the history of European football."

"I really wish he stays in the job with the same happiness and ambition for many, many more years."
Arsene Wegner: "All you can say is that it is remarkable through the quality and the consistency.

"It is exceptional as well because I don't know anybody at the top level who has done 25 years at the top level with the same club. Certainly never anybody will do it again."

Asked whether he could achieve the same feat at Arsenal, Wenger added: "The distance is a bit far, that would be 10 more years.

"I am already happy if I make this year a good season after all of this!"

David Moyes: "To stay 25 years at one club, especially one like Manchester United, is unbelievable," said the Everton manager.

"We are all saying '25 years' as though it is something very easy.

"To be at that club for that long and have the achievements he has had is something.

"It is something which I don't think will ever be done again."

Moyes said Ferguson's knowledge in the game was also a help to colleagues in need of advice.

"I think he has been a big influence on a lot of managers because if you need help you can pick up the phone," he added.

Villas-Boas: "For any manager, a 25-year spell at one club is fantastic and shows a tremendous trust in Sir Alex's talent," he was quote as saying in The Sun newspaper.

The Portuguese also admitted he thought he would do the same at FC Porto, but the chance to manage English giants Chelsea proved too tempting.

He added: "I thought that I was going to stay at Porto for 15 years but eventually we decided it wasn't going to be like that.

"A chance came around and I took it.”
