The second Wm. Angus card (No. 79) was issued by Cohen Weenan in their second Victoria Cross Heroes series from 1916.

The following is a quote from The Scotsman newspaper regaring Wm. Angus:

The Scotsman - Friday, 23rd July 1915, page 4
CELTIC FOOTBALL CLUB' S CONGRATULATIONS.

Corporal Angus was for two seasons connected with the Celtic Football Club, and Mr William Maley, the Secretary, has addressed a letter of congratulation to Cpl. Angus's father. He says:— " I beg to offer you, on behalf of my club, and personally, our sincerest congratulations on the brilliant achievement of your son, Willie. That he may come back to you all safe and sound is now our most earnest prayer, and we trust that you may all be long spared to each other to happy and prosperous days. I can safely say that no club ever had a more willing or conscientious player, and one who always showed by his cleanness that fine spirit which has in his army life enabled him to do the deed which has earned him a world's acclamation, and, I am sure brought great pride to the folks at home who have followed his career anxiously."
